** Please note that this splitter is designed to take one DVI output signal and split it out to two displays, such as a television or projector to be displayed simultaneously. Using this in the opposite direction, two output signals to one display (or TV) will probably not work because the signals will get crossed.**
Instructions for Connecting DVI to DVI/HDMI Combo Splitter:
1. Unplug from the wall both TVs (displays) and the source (DVD player, satellite, etc) so there is no power going to any of the devices that will be connected.
2. Plug in the DVI to HDMI/DVI Splitter cable in to the DVI source (DVD player, computer, satellite, etc.)
3. Plug in the Source (DVD player, Satellite, etc.) into the wall.
4. Turn on the source (DVD player, Satellite, etc.).
5. Wait 1 minute for source to communicate with DVI to HDMI/DVI Splitter PCB.
6. Connect the DVI to DVI/HDMI Splitter to HDMI cable going to TV and connect cable to TV (or display) # 1.
7. Plug in to the wall TV # 1 (or display # 1).
8. Wait 1 minute for communication with DVI to DVI/HDMI Splitter PCB.
9. Connect DVI to DVI/HDMI Splitter to DVI cable going to TV and connect DVI cable to TV # 2 (display # 2).
10. Plug in to the wall TV # 2.
The splitter should now work - splitting the signal from one source to two displays. It is not recommended to go longer than 15 feet with out a powered splitter or repeater.
